These candles were made using 5" pillars, 2" ribbon and 7/8"covered buttons. I wrapped the pillars with the ribbon (first glue the start of the ribbon, wrap the ribbon around the candle, fold the end of ribbon over and glue it down - your candle should now have a band of ribbon wrapped around it with no raw edges.) Then embroider the initial on the ribbon and cover the button with the embroidered ribbon. Next cut a 8-9" section of ribbon and thread it through the shank of the button. Double the ribbon over and glue down to create the bow effect. Finally glue the bow and button to the front of the candle. The entire project took about 30 minutes for both candles.
